Story

Half a year after the terrorist bomb at the airport. Inspector Kuraki Naotake of the Public Security’s First Special Service Division has had no rest ever since he lost his wife Chihiro in the bomb explosion in downtown Tokyo. He gets in touch with a freelance writer, Nanami Shiori, to obtain information on what happened to Chihiro in a 72-hour gap in the Public Security’s top secret Glarke Alpha mission. At that moment, an energy facility in Hokkaido is blown up and Sergeant Akeboshi Miki, who is now with the Public Security’s Fourth Foreign Affairs Section, takes up the investigation. She sees the likeness of a suspicious person spotted at the time of the explosion and is stunned. He resembles her father whom she has been searching for all this while. On the other hand, detective Osugi Ryota finds a dead body killed with the same modus operandi as the professional killer Mozu who should be dead … … The three of them meet again at the start of a new case that will rock the country.

Characters

Nishijima Hidetoshi as Kuraki Naotake

Maki Yoko as Akeboshi Miki
An officer with the Public Security Bureau’s Fourth Foreign Affairs Section. Her father, a Public Security officer, went missing 15 years ago and she continues to seek his whereabouts. She feels the effects of the silent phone calls ringing at home.

Kagawa Teruyuki as Osugi Ryota
A detective of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division who worked his way up. He is the type who acts on impulse. He is no match for his adolescent daughter Megumi.

Hasegawa Hiroki as Higashi Kazuo

Ishida Yuriko as Kuraki Chihiro
Kuraki Naotake’s wife. She was a victim in a bomb explosion in downtown Tokyo six months ago. During her time as a Public Security officer, she served in the Glarke Alpha mission which ended in failure. She was the only one to return alive after being detained for 72 hours.

Kohinata Fumiyo as Tsuki Shunsuke
Special Inspector General of the National Police Agency’s Police Administration Bureau. He is in charge of internal investigations and also has a network of connections with the CIA.
